Breast Surgical Oncologist – Assistant Professor / DOQ The Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah’s Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine, in partnership with the Huntsman Cancer Institute, is seeking a full‑time Breast Surgical Oncologist to join a section of four surgeons. The position may begin at the assistant professor level, but candidates of any rank with a completed breast surgery fellowship will be considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical trials, translational research, and academic service. Expectation includes leadership in clinical program development, quality improvement, and fostering a multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer care in an NCI‑designated cancer center. Location: Salt Lake City, UT Start Date: Spring/Summer 2026 Responsibilities Provide high‑quality breast surgery care to a diverse patient population. Lead and participate in clinical trials and translational research projects. Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical programs and protocols. Engage in teaching, mentorship, and collaboration with faculty, residents, and students. Participate in departmental and institutional quality‑improvement initiatives. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) with board‑eligible or board‑certified status in general surgery. Completion of a fellowship in breast surgery. Demonstrated experience in breast surgical oncology and a commitment to research. Strong communication and leadership skills.
