Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required. Job Description The Cardiac Step-Down RN will be responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as dysrhythmias and heart blocks. The role includes pre-operative and post-operative care for cardiac surgeries, including TAVR and permanent pacemaker placements. Responsibilities Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips and medications within parameters. Perform EKGs and manage chest tubes. Ensure strict intake and output tracking. Insert and care for Foley catheters. Facilitate patient mobility using cardiac walkers. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active Maryland RN license or Compact License required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred. Experience with Epic charting system required.
