Join our team and play an essential role in supporting personnel transactions and payroll operations within a fast-paced Human Resources environment. Under the general supervision of a Transactions Team Leader, this position is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and processing personnel and payroll-related transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Review and audit new employee and action request paperwork for accuracy and completeness Process Personnel Action Requests (PARs) and Employee Action Requests (EARs) for appointments, separations, and other personnel transactions Interpret and apply government codes, laws, rules, and personnel policies Initiate and maintain leave benefit tracking, including vacation, sick leave, annual leave, and personal holidays Receive, audit, and document positive and negative attendance payroll reports Process intermittent, overtime, and miscellaneous payments accurately and timely Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with departmental procedures and payroll requirements Provide responsive customer service and support to employees and management Desirable Qualifications Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Effective time-management and organizational abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately Dependability, flexibility, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Applying to the state has a few steps you may be unfamiliar with.
