About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to serve as the senior executive responsible for the direction and performance of nursing practice across the system. The CNO will be a key member of the senior leadership team, with a focus on elevating clinical standards, professional practice, and the development of nursing and allied health talent. This role involves overseeing the establishment and implementation of nursing care guidelines, ensuring the delivery of safe and appropriate care, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a highly respected nurse leader with at least 10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, strong operational and financial acumen, and a proven track record in driving organizational change and innovation in nursing practice. Key responsibilities for the CNO include championing interdisciplinary teamwork, building a high-performing leadership team, and positioning the organization as a destination for top nursing talent. The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking visionary, with the ability to anticipate future needs and drive system-level integration and process improvement. They must have exceptional leadership and communication abilities, and the capacity to build strong relationships both within the organization and with external partners. A master's degree in nursing, health administration, or a related field is required, along with Nurse Executive Board Certification or Nurse Executive Advanced Board Certification. The CNO will also be responsible for maintaining strong links with academic institutions for the education of future healthcare professionals and for developing robust recruitment and retention strategies for nursing and related health professions.
