Infectious Disease PhysicianUMass Memorial Health, the health and wellness partner of the people of Central Massachusetts, the largest health care system in Central Massachusetts and the clinical partner of UMass Chan Medical School, seeks an Infectious Disease Physician to join the UMass Memorial Medical Group. UMass Memorial Medical Center is a level I trauma center and tertiary care referral center serving more than one million people in central Massachusetts and the surrounding region.About the Role:The physician will serve as an attending on infectious disease inpatient and outpatient services including the most inpatient service as attending on Transplant ID Service.An interest or experience in transplant infectious diseases, transplants for HIV infected patients, hepatitis C and Infection Prevention for transplant recipients is ideal.Appointment as Medical Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases is possible for applicants with strong administrative skills and experience on Transplant Infectious Diseases since fellowship.Our solid organ transplant program is multidisciplinary and transplants over 65 livers/year and 100 kidneys/year. We have an active bone marrow transplant program and growing cardiac ventricular assist device program.Our HIV program is a grantee of Ryan White Part C and state contracts for HIV and Hep C care.Teaching is integrated into our practice and an academic appointment is available commensurate with experience.
