CNC Programmer - 1st Shift

Job Summary Insight Global is seeking a CNC Programmer to join their client’s team in Greenville, SC in support of their combustion line. This role focuses on advanced CNC programming, multi‑axis machining, and process optimization within a high‑precision manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on machining experience and deep expertise in NX CAM programming, working closely with operators and engineering teams to drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and production performance. Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain CNC programs using NX CAM or similar software for multi‑axis milling, grinding, and EDM Validate CNC programs using Vericut before releasing to the shop floor Implement on‑machine probing with Renishaw cycles for validation and error detection Provide CNC programming and troubleshooting support to shop floor operators Train operators during machine startups and process improvements Support tooling and fixturing implementation for CNC machines Create and maintain workstation instructions for machining processes Lead process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery Perform hands‑on setup and prove‑out of complex first‑piece programs Collaborate cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment Skills and Requirements Must Have Skillsets 5+ years of CNC programming experience using graphical CAM systems Experience with Siemens NX CAM Experience creating 5‑axis CNC programs Hands‑on machining background with ability to set up and prove programs Experience machining nickel‑based superalloys (Inconel, Hastelloy, Rene, etc.) Familiarity with Renishaw probing and macro/variable‑based programming Strong understanding of tight tolerance machining and thermal stability factors Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and shop math skills Plusses Experience with Okuma MU10000 or similar machines Experience using Vericut or similar CNC simulation/verification software Experience with closed‑loop machining Background in gas turbine or aerospace manufacturing environments Prior experience leading process improvement initiatives We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
