Job Type : Full Time Location : Salina, Kansas Pay : Excellent Job Description Summary Take a hands-on finance leadership role with a growing organization where you’ll have direct influence on financial strategy, operational decisions, and companywide performance. This on-site position combines Controller-level accounting ownership with VP-level strategic leadership, including budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, board presentations, internal controls, ERP oversight, and leadership of Accounting & Finance, Purchasing, and IT.

You’ll partner closely with the CEO, COO, executive leadership, and Board of Directors while remaining actively involved in the financial details of the business. This is an opportunity for a CPA who can own the numbers, develop strong teams, and translate financial performance into actionable business decisions. What You'll Be Doing

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and internal controls.
• Own month-end close, including GL reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Oversee percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and related cost-of-sales accounting.
• Prepare monthly and YTD financial statements, analysis, and management reporting.
• Present financial results and business insights to executive leadership and the Board.
• Oversee Accounting & Finance and develop direct reports.
• Provide leadership oversight for Purchasing, supply chain activities, and IT.
• Manage cash disbursement approvals, fixed assets, depreciation, and related accounting processes.
• Coordinate annual financial reviews and federal/state tax filings with outside accounting firms.
• Serve as the primary finance/accounting contact for the ERP system.
• Manage relationships with banking, insurance, benefits, and other external financial partners.
• Support vendor negotiations and major purchasing/pricing agreements.
• Participate in company operations and strategic planning.
• Serve as Board Secretary and maintain required corporate records and resolutions.
• Partner directly with the CEO and COO on financial and operational decisions.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA credential required.
• Approximately 3–5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with ownership of core financial functions.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience with ERP general ledger and accounting functionality.
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Percentage-of-completion accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience incorporating AI tools into professional workflows.
• Ability to work on-site Monday–Friday, typically 7:30 AM–4:30 PM , with occasional additional hours and minimal travel.
