Senior Accountant*

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records

and reports. This role supports the organization's financial operations by assisting with accounting

activities, month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and

providing insights through financial analysis. The Senior Accountant also plays a key role in maintaining

internal controls, improving financial processes, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Onsite Work Location: This is an onsite full-time position located in Indianapolis, Indiana

(This is not a remote opportunity)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reconciling general ledger account balances.
• Ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures.
• Assisting with year-end external audits.
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close.
• Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
• Supervising and mentoring accounting staff.
• Collaborating with operational management on financial metrics.
• Identifying process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Flexibility to meet changes in duties, responsibilities, and activities assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Qualification & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3-5 years’ accounting experience (Construction industry preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software (Acumatica, i360, Traild)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
• Must pass a criminal background check

Bonus Skills & Competencies

• CPA Certification
• Experience in public accounting and audit
• Experience working with Acumatica, Traild and i360 (Salesforce)
