Unit Information: Maternal Infant Unit, Location: CJW Johnston Willis, Address: 1401 Johnston Willis Drive, Richmond, VA 23235, Floor: 3rd Building: Atrium.
General Information: Number of beds 24, number of staff 71. Type of staff: Day shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator. Night shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary. Patient ratios: labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1. Type of equipment: GE fetal monitors, EMR Meditech, CPN.
Hiring Profile: Must have at least 2 years of labor experience. Preferred or nice to have: 2+ years of labor experience with a history working in an LDRP with high birth volumes. List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum patients. Newborn and post-partum care.
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN Fetal monitoring certification. Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs/ MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security. Weekends and On call: Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4 week schedule.
