Systems Engineer 3 - CO (Top Secret)The Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) National Team Program is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Join a passionate and highly-motivated team at the forefront of national defense.Required Skills & QualificationsGenerally has 3 years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.Must have an active Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen and have/maintain a valid US passport.IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.CCNA or JNCIA certificationProven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies.Understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.Network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.Firewall experience – especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo AltoExperience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.Hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.Prior work experience at client or in client's IndustryPreferred Skills & QualificationsTop Secret ClearanceCCNP or JNCIP CertificationExperience with network automation using AnsibleUnderstanding of standard DOD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.Prior C2BMC experienceDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure.Ensure reliable connectivity across LAN/WAN environments while collaborating with senior engineers on network design and optimization.Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors such as Cisco and Juniper Networks.Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues.Implement and support core networking technologies including VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and basic network security controls.Troubleshoot network incidents across LAN/WAN environments, performing root cause analysis and documenting resolutions.Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support network changes, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.Travel to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.Support critical activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.Company Benefits & CultureComprehensive health and wellness benefitsOpportunities for professional development and growthInclusive and dynamic work environment
