We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of people operations in an onsite manufacturing setting in Lancaster, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can balance recruiting, employee support, compliance, and administrative responsibilities while building strong partnerships across the organization. The role requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:• Partner with department leaders to assess workforce needs and create effective hiring approaches for open positions.
• Source, review, and evaluate applicants to develop strong candidate pipelines and coordinate the selection process through offer stage.
• Lead onboarding activities for new employees, including orientation scheduling and pre-employment screening coordination.
• Prepare recurring hiring updates and recruitment metrics to share progress and support workforce planning decisions.
• Maintain personnel documentation and update employment records related to hires, status changes, and separations.
• Help uphold compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations while contributing to policy and handbook updates.
• Respond to employee concerns and advise supervisors on workplace matters to foster a respectful and productive environment.
• Administer benefits-related activities, including open enrollment support, employee communication, and guidance on plan options.
• Support the performance review cycle by tracking completion and helping ensure evaluations reflect organizational expectations.
• Manage workers’ compensation processes by reporting incidents, coordinating with providers, arranging transitional duty, and monitoring follow-up activity.• At least 5 years of human resources experience, including broad generalist responsibilities across multiple HR functions.
• Bachelor’s degree with relevant HR experience, master’s degree in human resources with applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant background.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and the ability to apply them appropriately in day-to-day HR matters.
• Demonstrated experience handling employee relations issues with discretion and sound judgment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work successfully with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, along with familiarity with HRIS systems.
• Background in onboarding, HR administration, benefits support, and workers’ compensation coordination is preferred.
