Radiology - Nuclear Med Tech Profession: Hardin Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 12 months Shift: First Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: No experience required License: Active license through the appropriate Board of Medical Imaging and Clienttion Therapy Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Basic Dysrhythmia, Arrhythmia or ECG Course completion, Certification in nuclear medicine Must-Have: Strong understanding of nuclear medicine principles, radiopharmaceuticals, and imaging techniques Description:Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.Operate sophisticated imaging equipment such as gamma cameras.Analyze the resulting images to assist physicians in diagnosing illnesses.Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures by explaining the process.Obtain medical histories and address any concerns or questions patients may have.Provide compassionate care and support to patients throughout the procedures.Address any patient concerns or discomforts and ensure their safety and well-being during the imaging process.Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to prescribed protocols.Ensure proper dosage and injection technique to optimize imaging results.Operate gamma cameras and other specialized imaging equipment.Capture images of radioactive tracers within the patient's body.Follow established protocols for image acquisition and processing.Analyze nuclear medicine images to identify abnormalities or areas of interest.Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret findings.Assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols.Minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself.Maintain accurate records of radiation doses administered.Monitor radiation levels in work areas.Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment.Ensure optimal performance and image quality.Troubleshoot technical issues as needed.Maintain detailed records of procedures performed.Generate accurate reports for inclusion in patient medical records.Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology, procedures, and safety regulations.Participate in training programs and workshops.Enhance skills and knowledge.Participate in the orientation of staff.Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Contribute to safe, quality care as part of a multidisciplinary team. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
