Location : Wilkinsburg, PA

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm 

Summary of Job Duties:  At Community LIFE, we call our Unit Secretary position "Medical Scheduler & Team Coordinator" (MSTC). The MSTC is responsible for providing the primary clerical support services relating to the Clinic and Health Information. The MSTC ensures that participants are seen by the medical consultants ordered by the provider in a timely manner to ensure care needs are identified, addressed, and followed up.

Required Experience : Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a health care environment. Formal Unit Secretary or Medical Assistant training preferred.

• Quick learner and adaptable to change
• Ability to plan and organize effectively
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with participants, families, contracted provider offices and facility staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively via telephone, verbally and in writing
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, diagnostic testing
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed
• Good problem-solving skills
• Must have a compassionate and empathetic attitude for the frail older adults
• Ability to operate office equipment
