Wolfgang Confectioners is seeking an experienced Food Safety and Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead our Quality Assurance Technicians while maintaining consistent food safety process standards for Quality Assurance across the plant. This is a highly technical position that will directly impact the level of plant sanitation and food safety and quality.


Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of Quality Assurance (QA) Technicians.
• First level responsibility for maintaining consistent food safety process standards, including training and communication.
• Fully inclusive responsibility of SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.
• Oversight and continuous improvement of the Wolfgang Confectioners Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program and Hazard Analysis Risk Based Preventative Controls (HARPC) program.
• Assists with developing Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and controlled documents for compliance and continuous improvement of the Food Safety Plan and SQF system.
• Responsible for the environmental monitoring program including, but not limited to, developing swab sites, continually improving the program, and completion of correction action plans.
• Serves as an Internal Audit Team member.
• Manages development of root cause analysis and correction action, as assigned.
• Maintains and stays current with all food safety regulations from applicable government authorities and new regulatory trends.

Requirements

• Minimum BA or BS degree (preferred)
• Minimum five (5) years of food manufacturing experience in a QA Supervisor or Lead role, or suitable combination of experience (preferred)
• PCQI, HACCP certified and SQF Practitioner experience (preferred)
• Strong client and team relationship development skills
• Possession of strong collaborative and influencing skills
• Organization and decisiveness to have a "big picture" perspective
