Senior Project Accountant

Senior Project AccountantA growing, employee-owned organization supporting the AEC and construction industry is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join its Chesterfield, MO team.The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in project accounting, billing, cost tracking, contract administration, project administration, or a related financial role. Construction experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong accounting, billing, project administration, or financial analysis experience and an interest in learning construction accounting are encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesProvide financial support for assigned projects.Set up new projects/jobs.Prepare accurate and timely customer billing.Review contract requirements and project documentation.Track project costs, revenue, budgets, and projections.Assist with accounts receivable and collections.Support accounts for payable and vendor issues.Code subcontractor and equipment invoices.Prepare certified payroll and required project reports.Request and track Certificates of Insurance.Coordinate vendor and subcontractor invoices.Identify budget and projection issues.Work closely with project teams and accounting personnel.Qualifications2+ years of relevant accounting, billing, or project administration experience.Project accounting or billing experience preferred.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.Construction industry experience is a plus.Vista by Viewpoint experience preferred.Union experiences preferred.Ability to maintain confidential information.Ability to travel up to 25%.Compensation & Benefits$75,000–$85,000 Base SalaryEmployee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)Discretionary Annual BonusMedical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) with Company ContributionsPaid Time Off & Sick TimePaid HolidaysPaid Parental LeaveTuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramGym ReimbursementThis is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to expand their experience in project and construction accounting while joining a growing, employee-owned organization.To apply, submit an updated resume to View email address on click.appcast.io.
