Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative (Hybrid) *Location:* Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)
*Schedule:* Full-Time
*Work Arrangement:* Hybrid (Onsite training required, then onsite attendance twice per week)
Position Overview We are seeking customer-focused individuals to join our team as Customer Service Representatives. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to participants via phone and email, resolve issues efficiently, educate users on available resources, and deliver a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate has prior call center experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding customer service and strive for first-call resolution.
* Handle incoming phone calls, email requests, and escalated inquiries.
* Assist participants with account registration, login issues, and password resets.
* Guide users through online portals and applications.
* Answer questions regarding available programs, services, and resources.
* Document all participant interactions accurately and thoroughly.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve non-routine or escalated issues.
* Assist participants in completing surveys over the phone.
* Educate participants on available tools and resources to reduce future support needs.
Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center or customer service environment.
* Demonstrated customer service and issue-resolution skills.
* Strong attention to detail and active listening skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and general computer applications.
* Professional and pleasant phone demeanor.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime when needed.
* Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
* Must reside within one hour of the Indianapolis office location.
Preferred Qualifications
* 1 to 3 years of experience in a technical call center environment or related transferable experience.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred and given priority consideration).
* Experience troubleshooting online account access and website navigation issues.
Work Schedule Available permanent shifts include:

* 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
* 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
* 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
* 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
* 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Shift selection is permanent and will not change after offer acceptance.
Training Information
* Training is fully onsite and mandatory.
* Training duration is approximately 4 weeks or until readiness is demonstrated.
* Contractors must successfully complete onsite training before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.
* Upon successful completion of training, equipment will be provided for hybrid work.
Hybrid Work Requirements After training, team members will work onsite two days per week and remotely on approved days.
Home Office Requirements
* Dedicated private workspace with a door.
* Ability to connect directly to the internet via ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted).
* Reliable high-speed internet service.
* Remote work arrangements cannot serve as a substitute for childcare responsibilities.
*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
