RN - Inpatient Surgical Floor (PT - 0.6 FTE, Day Shift)

Part-time, 0.6 FTE day shift RN position with weekend and holiday requirements. Minimum Hour Requirements: 2 shifts per week, after a full time (36hrs/week) training period of approximately 8-10 weeks.

• Responsible for the completion of annual required education.
• *Must also be available all day, Mon-Fri, during a one-week pre-training period for hospital onboarding.

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients. Stroke Competency Complies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyper acute and acute stroke. Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire. Participates in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
