Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality patient care. This role involves utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs to create effective nursing care plans.
• Delegate tasks and supervise nursing care delivered by other staff members.
• Document patient care activities and communicate important patient information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans.

Schedule

This position involves a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with guaranteed hours of 36.00 per week.

Location

This position is located in the Detroit, Michigan area.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
• Post-Partum experience is required.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NRP is mandatory; candidates without these certifications will be rejected.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
