CurriculumCoordinator Job Details: Location: Resource Office – St. Louis, MO 63017. Position Type: Full Time. Purpose Statement The Curriculum Coordinator researches, develops, and implements new and revised curricular materials in math and English Language Arts; provides leadership, coaching, and professional development to school leadership teams and instructional coaches; and ensures classrooms foster students’ critical thinking skills through challenging curricular text, tasks, and learning. Essential Functions Coach school leadership teams and instructional coaches on the use of data, including student work, to identify next steps for student academic growth. Collaborate with district personnel, community organizations, and other stakeholders to implement and maintain services and programs. Maintain a variety of manual and electronic files and records to provide up‑to‑date reference and comply with regulatory requirements and established guidelines. Model an eagerness to receive and implement feedback for continuous improvement of teaching practices, professional growth, and student learning outcomes. Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars to convey and gather information required to perform functions. Prepare program‑mandated reports to ensure ongoing funding by complying with network and/or grant program requirements. Present information to district and community groups to promote programs, gain feedback, and comply with internal controls. Provide coaching by instruction, co‑teaching, and modeling for school leadership teams and instructional coaches to improve teacher practice through cycles of observation and feedback. Research innovative techniques for facilitating learning and pedagogy within assigned learning areas to enhance instructional effectiveness, promote engagement, and stay abreast of best practices. Supervise development and facilitation of professional learning for leadership teams and instructional coaches to raise instructional performance and student achievement. Support development of mathematics and/or literacy‑focused community engagement programming and extracurricular activities to foster lifelong learning, academic enrichment beyond the classroom, and strengthen community partnerships. Use data consistently to inform strategic decision‑making. Other Functions Perform other related duties as assigned to support efficient and effective functioning of the teaching and learning area. Qualifications Skills: Utilize conflict resolution techniques; operate standard office equipment and software; plan and manage projects; prepare and maintain accurate records; analyze and interpret data; apply curriculum and instructional techniques; conduct meetings. Knowledge: Basic math calculations (fractions, percentages, ratios); reading technical information and composing documents; understanding of grammar and punctuation; grant administration; community resources; district policies and procedures; at‑risk youth issues; methods of instruction and training. Abilities: Schedule activities, meetings, and events; gather, collate, classify data; use job‑related equipment; adapt to changing priorities; communicate with diverse groups; set priorities; build collaborative relationships; work with interruptions; collaborate as part of a team; problem‑solve and create action plans. Responsibilities Work under limited supervision using standardized practices; lead, guide, and coordinate others; direct use of budgeted funds; utilize resources from other units; have impact on organization services. Work Environment Physical demands include some lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; requires 20% sitting, 40% walking, 40% standing; performed in a clean and healthy environment. Experience Job‑related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Education Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a related area. Preferred: Master’s degree or higher.
