Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, which includes patient care and the management of staff assigned to their supervision.
• Complies with policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma.
• A valid New Mexico Nursing license or a compact license from NM (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• BLS certification must be secured within 14 days of hire or transfer into the position, prior to delivering direct patient care.
• The hiring department may also require ACLS and/or PALS certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the specialty.
• At least two (2) years of general nursing experience.
