Job Overview
J Street Dental Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Coordinator to manage our dental billing, insurance verification, and claims processing. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial transactions, maximizing patient benefits, and maintaining a smooth administrative workflow for our fee-for-service and PPO-supported practice.
Key Responsibilities
Insurance Verification: Verify patient eligibility and breakdown of benefits (PPO plans) prior to appointments.
Claims Management: Submitting, tracking, and appealing dental insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
Patient Estimates: Calculate and present accurate out-of-pocket estimates and co-pays to patients based on their insurance coverage.
Accounts Receivable: Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, research outstanding balances, and post insurance payments.
Patient Support: Answer patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance coverage, and available financing options.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Insurance Coordinator or Billing Specialist.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, ADA coding, and PPO insurance processes.
Proficiency with dental practice management software.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
