Position Overview
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items to Lo Key's standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in consistency, presentation, and quality. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Set up and maintain your assigned station before, during, and after service
- Properly portion, season, cook, and plate food
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation
- Complete daily prep and restocking as needed
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Properly store, label, and date food products
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Communicate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Minimize food waste and properly handle kitchen equipment
- Follow all health department and restaurant safety standards
