Improves Managed Standard Offerings (MSO) quality and collaborates with portfolio and solution teams of the domain by providing feedback. ResponsibilitiesJoin our Cloud Engineering team as an individual contributor to build in-house solutions and applications for Microsoft Federal. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software that meets the unique needs of our federal clients, while articulating value propositions for strategic Microsoft products and services. Design, develop, and maintain scalable Kubernetes microservices using Node.js / Python / C# Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with Azure services, including Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, and Redis. Build event-driven architectures using message queuing technologies (e.g., Azure Service Bus) to manage transfer states and enable efficient system decoupling Build robust logging and monitoring systems, leveraging tools like Application Insights and Log Analytics Advanced storage patterns and practices to efficiently manage high concurrency transfers Design and develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using React to enhance user experience across a modern, cloud-native web platform Design, implement, and optimize data models and queries in Azure Cosmos DB, ensuring efficient storage, high performance, and scalability for large-scale, concurrent data operations Business DevelopmentIdentifies opportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of cloud and Microsoft technologies. Obtains relevant accreditations and certification(s) as advised by domain leadership team. Identifies certifications and readiness plans in partnership with World Wide Learning. Leads or participates in relevant technical communities and conducts training sessions to evangelize technology and/or offerings based on availability. Mentors team members and acts as a technical advisor for stakeholders by providing thought leadership, articulation of solutions value, and outcomes of business strategies.Technical DeliveryFollows the capacity process outlined by Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) team. Possession of technical certifications in specific domains or service lines, such as Azure or Security. Expertise in using Bicep or similar domain-specific languages for Azure infrastructure as code. Practical experience in deploying, managing, and scaling applications with Kubernetes. Strong understanding of Microservice Architecture and related Design Patterns. Proficiency in developing and maintaining applications using Node.js / Python / C#. Competence in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub DevOps. Familiarity with containerization and managing Docker containers. Knowledge of Azure Graph API for managing Azure resources. Experience in implementing and managing security measures with Windows Defender or similar tools.Technology Consulting IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,800 - $193,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $126,100 - $207,600 per year.
