Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required (first-timers accepted) License: Valid State License (Compact License) required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Experience in facilities handling 200+ deliveries preferred; candidates with experience in facilities with 100-200 deliveries will be considered. - Hardstop requirements include certifications. Description: This position involves working in Labor and Delivery. It encompasses high-risk perinatal care. The unit consists of 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, and 30 postpartum beds. There are 3 operating rooms and 2 PACU bays available. Triage is staffed with 3 skilled Nurses per shift. Float is required to the postpartum unit. The goal is to maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in labor, 1:3 for postpartum couplets, and 1:2-3 in antepartum care. The unit supports a total census of around 200-300 facility births per month. Candidates must be proficient in numerous specialized nursing skills related to labor and delivery. Weekend coverage is required. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may impact guaranteed hours.
