Contract | 13 Weeks | 12-Hour Night Shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a post-surgical population including vascular, bariatric, ENT, podiatry, cardiac cath, and open abdominal cases, as well as patients requiring dementia care, CIWA/detox protocols, and fall risk management
• Perform and manage PIV insertion, chest tube and indwelling drain management, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), stable drip administration (heparin, Lasix, Protonix), epidural management, ostomy care, blood product administration, and telemetry interpretation
• Perform wound care including packing, wound VACs, and dressing changes; assist with pre- and post-heart cath care utilizing femoral and TR bands
• Float as first to float within skillset to a secondary campus location with a minimum of 2 hours notice; mid-shift float within the same campus is also possible
• Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements: three weekends per every six-week schedule and every other holiday
• May be required to precept students and new hires as this is a teaching facility

• Current, active compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification required - must be attached upon submittal
• NIHSS certification required - must be attached upon submittal
• Minimum of two years of strong Medical-Surgical experience
• At least one prior travel assignment
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent Epic EMR experience required (checkoff class will be required upon start)
• Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience with complex post-surgical patient populations including Whipple procedures, thyroid surgeries, and cardiac catheterization care
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage change, work resiliently in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively within a team
• Experience with epidural management and advanced wound care techniques
