Description
We are seeking an experienced Associate Medical Director to provide both clinical and administrative leadership within a mission-driven, patient-centered healthcare organization. This position partners closely with the Medical Director and Senior Leadership Team to oversee clinical operations, quality improvement initiatives, provider management, and patient care while supporting organizational growth and excellence.
The role is approximately % clinical and % administrative , depending on organizational needs. The Associate Medical Director will provide comprehensive outpatient primary care while helping shape clinical strategy, mentor providers, improve operational performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Compensation:

• Annual Salary: $230,000 $250,000

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Partner with the Medical Director to oversee daily clinical operations.
• Lead quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain clinical policies, protocols, and best practices.
• Recruit, mentor, support, and evaluate medical providers.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and promote patient-centered care.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Respond to clinical concerns, patient issues, staff concerns, and medical emergencies as needed.
• Participate in strategic planning and organizational initiatives.
• Assist with provider performance management and professional development.
• Support disaster preparedness planning and operational continuity efforts.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to:
  • Clinical quality
  • Patient satisfaction
  • Operational efficiency
  • Financial performance
• Represent the organization at professional meetings, community events, and conferences.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited U.S. residency program in a primary care specialty.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in a recognized primary care specialty.
• Active Hawaii medical license or eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Hawaii medical license.
• Current DEA registration and Hawaii State Narcotics registration, or the ability to obtain both.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of primary care clinical experience .
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience practicing in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is strongly preferred.
