Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in various specialties, including General Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, ENT, and Vascular Surgery.

Facility Information

Location: Montgomery, AL

Bed Capacity: 492 beds, including a Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across multiple specialties, with a primary focus on Trauma (excluding burns), Neuro, General, Vascular, ENT, and Orthopedic Surgery.
• Circulate surgeries in the OR: must possess a strong background in the following areas:
  • Trauma and Neurosurgery
  • General Surgery
  • Vascular Surgery (including Endovascular)
  • ENT
  • Orthopedic Spine and Joint Surgery
  • Gynecological Surgery
  • Urology
  • Robotics for General and Neuro surgery (including experience with Robotic Mazor and Da Vinci XI)
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Ocular Surgery

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Strong experience in designated specialties is essential.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS.

Support and Team Dynamics

• Work collaboratively with the OR team, which includes desk assistants and team leaders for service lines.

Technology and Equipment

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner
• IV Pumps: Plum 360
• Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
• Monitors: Spacelabs

Scheduling and Orientation

• Orientation period is 2 weeks on day shift, with a buddy call expectation during this time.
• Weekend rotation: on call as scheduled, including one day a weekday and one weekend a month.
• 30-minute response time required for on-call duties.
• Holidays: Expected to work a holiday as per contract.
