Job Summary We are seeking an Application Engineer II to join the IT Financial Systems Support team. This role owns, or has equivalent experience owning, one or more products end‑to‑end and works with various teams to support it. You will collaborate with project managers, vendors and development teams to deploy the most complete solutions possible for end users and assist other support teams when necessary. The position also includes training support staff, writing documentation and knowledge base articles to reduce unnecessary escalations. Specific Duties Assist with installation, configuration, upgrading, patching, and maintenance of Elite 3E and related programs, servers, modules, and integrated systems. Troubleshoot problems related to software performance and functionality. Write and support scripts to facilitate reporting and administrative functions. Assist performing data analysis to identify and resolve issues. Develop and document operational procedures and processes for maintenance and support. Assist with data integration and data migration activities. Contribute to requirements gathering and solution design. Develop visual architecture diagrams for deployed solutions. Perform testing functions on all financial related systems. Provide technical mentoring and training to lower support levels. Write SQL queries to support applications as needed. Effectively manage and communicate confidential issues. Remain flexible to work beyond standard hours, including evenings and weekends. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Three or more years of experience with financial/accounting software. Experience planning and accomplishing goals in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non‑technical colleagues. Experience with PC or server operating systems, database solutions, or web/cloud servers. Experience working with vendors on requirements, development, and product deployments. Proficiency with SQL. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proactive issue identification, timely decision making, and escalation when required. Desirable: Experience supporting Elite 3E or other financial/accounting systems. Experience with Elite 3E IDE and Templates. Experience with Intapp Integration Builder, Boomi, or similar platforms. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI tools. Experience with SFTP clients, Microsoft Hybrid Connection Manager. Basic understanding of n‑tier application design, network topologies (LAN, WAN, DMZ, Firewall), and cloud services. Experience as or with a Project Manager or Business Analyst. Experience writing technical documentation and training others. Knowledge of systems administration and automation tools, shell scripting, and PowerShell. Knowledge of application programming techniques, design patterns, or frameworks. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or equivalent work experience in a related field. Working Conditions Manual dexterity required for typing, reaching, and lifting small objects, and operating office equipment. Frequent computer use at a workstation up to eight hours per day. Frequent work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions. Occasional adjustments to schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines. Office contact position requiring appropriate business‑like apparel. Mobility within the office, including movement from floor to floor. Use of a computer to access information. Effective management and communication of confidential issues. Compensation Salary $98,000 – $183,000 (determined during interview based on experience, expertise, business needs, and market factors).
