Contract Development Manager

Contract Development Manager The manager position operates within a dynamic, business‑critical environment and is primarily responsible for document creation and contract management of key specialty pharmacy customer contracts from request to completion. The role involves handling contract data for owned accounts in the contract lifecycle management (CLM) database, ensuring data entry accuracy and that the system reflects key terms in the final contract, and collaborating with cross‑functional team members to meet key controls in the contracting process. Responsibilities Drafting and editing agreements, amendments, notice letters and other contract documents. Crafting document language that accurately describes new programs, rebates and discount structures in the completed contract document. Collaborating with other functional team members on the operation and implementation of business‑unit strategies and supporting meetings to plan, provide insight and anticipate business‑unit needs. Participating in the document management process and interacting with cross‑functional groups, including Trade Development, Legal, Government Programs, Coverage & Pricing and Contract & Pricing Execution. Project‑managing planned and ad‑hoc special projects within Contract Development and U.S. Value & Access. Researching and producing contract documents in support of internal and external audits and litigation. Handling contract data in the CLM system, reporting activities and metrics to leadership, managing customer document files, folders and templates, conducting document review meetings, and communicating status and history to partners while certifying that process controls have been met. Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree Masters degree and 2 years of commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience Bachelors degree and 4 years of commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience Associates degree and 8 years of commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience High school diploma / GED and 10 years of commercial contracting, sales operations, finance and/or analytics experience Preferred Qualifications Legal document drafting experience in a dynamic environment (e.g., consulting firms, biotech, tech companies). Very strong computer and Microsoft Office skills; outstanding Word skills and strong administrative skills. Ability to complete projects and make decisions with minimal direction, prioritizing multiple assignments. High attention to detail and reporting accuracy. Positive, can‑do demeanor and eagerness to contribute to initiatives. Ability to prioritize opposing interests and handle a high volume of contract document requests. Great teammate, seeks ways to support team members. Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Forward‑thinking, initiative‑driven, problem‑solving, ability to work independently and exercise appropriate business judgment. Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
