Lead, Data Operations Global Expansion

Overview Figure is an AI Robotics company that builds autonomous general‑purpose humanoid robots. The goal is to ship humanoid robots with human‑level intelligence, engineered to perform a variety of tasks in home and commercial markets. Based in North San Jose, CA, the role requires 5days/week in‑office collaboration. Responsibilities Own Figure’s data operations expansion strategy and lead the global expansion team. Stand up new sites against volume, quality, and velocity targets, building a playbook that accelerates future launches. Identify and launch in new geographies, managing entity setup, localization, facilities, partnerships, and community building. Build and continuously improve the expansion playbook, SOPs, and tooling. Coordinate with engineering, product, and ops to develop the hardware, software, and operational systems each site needs. Own the expansion dashboard, track volume, quality, and throughput across sites, identify bottlenecks, and ship fixes fast. Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with local partners, agencies, and vendors to accelerate market entry and growth. Serve as connective tissue between new sites and internal teams, surfacing hardware and software friction, translating field feedback into actionable product improvements, and advocating for team needs. Hire, develop, and lead the people running launches, growing the team as expansion accelerates. Requirements 5‑10 years in Operations roles at startups and/or global corporations. Experience standing up new locations in international markets. Demonstrated ability to own outcomes. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Experience working across cultures or in international markets. Highly organized with strong project‑management instincts, comfortable managing multiple sites, partners, and workstreams simultaneously. Commitment to 5days/week in‑office collaboration. Bonus Qualifications Background in AI/ML companies or understanding of data collection for machine learning. Fluency in Spanish. Fluency in Arabic. Experience managing physical‑world operations in addition to digital platforms. Compensation The US base salary range for this full‑time position is between $100,000 and $160,000 annually. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
