Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Armed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol a retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, communicate professionally with customers and team members, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $26.50 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail locations, parking areas, loading zones, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards. Monitor access points and help control entry to restricted areas, verifying authorized personnel, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements. Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
