Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Alarm Systems in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and other concerns. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.48 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon08:30 AM - 04:00 PMTue08:30 AM - 04:00 PMWed08:30 AM - 04:00 PMThur08:30 AM - 04:00 PMFri08:30 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government assistance and rehabilitative services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with visitor direction and maintaining professional interactions with individuals receiving services. Document daily activities, incidents, patrols, and security-related observations accurately and promptly in required reports. Minimum Requirements: Possess an armed guard card or license. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
