As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the assigned area, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate site personnel and emergency responders as needed. Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
