As an Armed Security Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 02:45 PM Sun06:00 AM - 02:45 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable laws, training, and site procedures. Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help deter theft, unauthorized entry, and other disruptive behavior. Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and follow-up needs to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
