Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room in a Short Term Acute Care setting in Portland, Oregon. Start date: 10/26/2026. This travel assignment runs for 13 weeks with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is nights, 3x12-hour blocks (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role requires providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a busy ED and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or patient group per established standards and the nursing process.
- Collect pertinent data, analyze assessments, and identify care needs.
- Develop and implement a care plan, coordinating with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and ensure a safe, healing environment.
- Educate patients and families, provide treatment information, and participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise nursing staff across levels, collaborating with other disciplines.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (Oregon).
- BLS certification required; ACLS/ARC-ALS and PALS/AHA equivalents required.
- EPIC electronic health record experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience.
- BSN preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
