(30-minute lunch break)

Job Summary
LJ’s Cleaning Solutions is seeking a dependable and experienced Janitorial Assistant Supervisor to help oversee daily cleaning operations and support the janitorial team. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork.
A current resume is required for consideration. This position must be the candidate’s primary and only job , as Assistant Supervisors are required to be on-call.
Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising daily janitorial operations and staff
- Train and support new employees
- Monitor employee timekeeping, attendance, and performance
- Inspect completed work to ensure LJ’s Cleaning Solutions standards are met
- Communicate professionally with employees, clients, and management
- Use Outlook, Word, OneDrive, and other office applications
- Operate computers, tablets, phones, printers, scanners, and radios
- Assist with assigned janitorial and cleaning duties
- Perform disinfecting/misting using a backpack mister and required PPE when needed (training provided)
- Provide coverage and additional support when the Site Supervisor is absent
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- 1 year of management experience preferred
- 2 years of janitorial experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Strong leadership and professional communication skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and electronic devices
- Knowledge of OSHA and custodial safety procedures preferred
- Bilingual preferred, but not required
- Must be flexible and available for on-call responsibilities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull
- Frequently lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally up to 40 lbs
- Ability to safely work with cleaning chemicals and required PPE
