Technical Account Manager (TAM) - Hybrid Cloud

Overview The Technical Account Manager (TAM)–Hybrid Cloud is a strategic and technical advisor responsible for driving customer success across complex hybrid IT environments that span on‑premises infrastructure, private clouds, and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). The role includes post‑sales technical guidance, pre‑sales support, and consultative business development to support client transformation journeys and growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities Hybrid Cloud Technical Account Management – act as a trusted technical advisor on hybrid cloud solutions, guiding clients in cloud adoption, migration, modernization, workload placement, performance tuning, scalability, and system interoperability. Client Relationship & Success Management – develop and maintain strategic relationships with key technical and business stakeholders, conduct health checks, business reviews, performance optimization sessions, and ensure services align with evolving business needs. Consultative Engagement & Business Development – identify opportunities for service and solution expansion, provide consultative input to shape transformation roadmaps, and influence client decision‑making through solution value, ROI, and technical differentiation. Pre‑Sales Support & Solution Engineering – partner with sales and engineering teams to support the sales cycle, lead technical discovery sessions, contribute to RFPs, proposals, demos, and design/validate proposed architectures. Service Delivery Oversight – lead cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes, proactively identify service issues or risks, and coordinate mitigation plans. Issue Resolution & Technical Escalations – own and manage critical incidents, outages, and problem resolution across cloud and on‑prem environments, acting as an escalation point for technical issues impacting account health. Required Skills & Qualifications Proficient in hybrid cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, and on‑premise infrastructure. Experience with cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, hybrid networking and security. Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and monitoring tools (Nagios, Datadog, Prometheus). Understanding of DevOps pipelines, Kubernetes, virtualization, and identity/access management. Consultative and business acumen: translate technical capabilities into business value, experience with solution selling, creating value propositions, and identifying upsell/cross‑sell opportunities. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to influence technical and executive audiences; comfortable working with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Support). Preferred Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Compensation The compensation range for this position in the U.S. is $124,920 to $237,480 based on a full‑time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job‑related skills and experience.
