Registered Nurse - Neuro Med Surg

Location: Johnstown, PA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Neuro Med Surg unit. As a critical member of the healthcare team, the RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with neurological conditions. This role involves assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care, as well as collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EHR.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and take necessary actions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a Neuro Med Surg setting.
• Preferred certifications: NIH Stroke Scale and Swallow Screen.
• Competence in dysrhythmia required; assessment will be conducted during orientation.
