Travel Rn-Pmc - Operating Room/Surgery - Days

We are seeking a skilled registered nurse (rn) to join our operating room/surgery team on a travel assignment. The role is based in pmc with a requirement to float to the main campus or other locations as staffing needs dictate. The shift is days, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with an immediate start date. hourly pay rate: $58.96/hr responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room, adhering to established protocols and standards.
• Assess patient needs pre- and post-operation, and document all care provided.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and care continuity.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-op care.
• Uphold all relevant hospital competencies and standards of practice.
• Delegate and assign tasks appropriately to care team members to manage workload effectively.
• Adapt to changing clinical situations with independence and professionalism.

requirements:

• Current rn license in new mexico or a compact state.
• Bls certification via aha.
• Acls certification via aha.
• Bachelor of science degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical or operating room setting preferred.
• Willingness to float as needed.

work schedule:

• Full-time, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts.
