Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, evening and night rotations (3:00 PM - 3:30 AM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), includes weekends and holidays

• Level IV Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Center with Pediatric Ready Emergency Department designation
• High-volume department serving nearly 45,000 patients annually with 140 daily census
• 40 exam rooms plus 19 vertical care spaces with ability to flex additional capacity during peak volume
• 4:1 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and more
• Epic electronic medical records system utilized throughout facility
• 20 hours of orientation provided; free onsite parking available

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or multistate Compact RN license
• Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
• Travel nursing experience required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria
• Flu vaccination required (medical or religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float within the health system as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
