Physical Therapist-Outpatient Rehab

Overview The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services by evaluating patients, establishing and implementing effective treatment plans with functional treatment goals, providing patient education and exercise/activity programs, constructing appropriate orthotic devices, and educating patients in the use of adaptive equipment. The position is responsible for observing, evaluating and documenting the results of treatment interventions, modifying treatment plans accordingly, and providing age-specific direct patient care according to the unit's scope of service. The primary setting for this position is the Raleigh Campus Outpatient Rehab and may require coverage of other areas of the WakeMed Rehab Continuum as needed. Populations served include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics, multi-trauma and debility for both adults and pediatric populations.
