Registered Nurse Telemetry

Job Description: This 13-week travel contract calls for experienced registered nurses to work night shifts in a 34-bed telemetry unit at a busy hospital in Austin, Texas. The role involves providing specialized cardiac rhythm interpretation, managing advanced airway equipment, and administering non-titrated cardiac drips. The night shift runs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with staff typically working every other weekend. Expect to collaborate with a team of 7 RNs, 3 PCTs, and a unit clerk, maintaining patient ratios of 5:1. This assignment offers a chance to hone skills in advanced cardiac procedures like stress testing and heart caths, all within a facility equipped with GE telemetry monitors, Pyxis medication systems, and Meditech EMR. The ideal candidate will be a team player with ACLS/ALS certification and experience in respiratory and cardiac rhythms, ready to make a real difference in patient care while gaining valuable hospital experience.
