Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift acute care hospital position requiring 2+ years of experience and RRT/BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital respiratory therapy unit
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend hours as required by the facility
• Call requirements as required by the facility
• Rotating holiday coverage
• Uses Epic EMR
• No floating required

Requirements

• RRT and BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• NRP, ACLS, and PEARS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Post-secondary education preferred
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills required

Additional Information

• Evaluate patient reactions to all forms of respiratory therapy and recommend corresponding treatment plans
• Interact closely with patients, physicians, and nursing staff
• Patient-focused team player with strong personality fit for collaborative care environment
• Black scrubs required; torn clothing, open-toed shoes, and non-scrub attire are not permitted
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1, with client-approved exemptions only
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted
