Civil Designer

Job Overview As a Civil 3D CAD Designer for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC) in our Sacramento office, you will work with project managers to produce civil site, water resources, and solid waste construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Your project duties typically include preparing plan, profile, and cross‑section drawings; developing erosion control and stormwater pollution prevention plans; calculating material quantities for construction estimates; determining earthwork volumes (cuts and fills) based on existing and proposed topography; identifying appropriate construction control systems on plans (baselines, stationing, control points, etc.) and preparing the same. You will provide value‑oriented design suggestions, review drawings and documents to assure compliance with company design and production standards.
