Job Description
Registered Nurse - MICU

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Assignment Details

Contract length: 2 years. Rotating schedule may include days, nights, or a combination based on department needs.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in MICU
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIH certification
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and IV starts
• Proficient in EPIC computerized charting

Responsibilities

• Provide care to critically ill patients with conditions such as oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, and sepsis
• Monitor patients' hemodynamic status and perform necessary treatments
• Administer medications and manage complex medication regimens
• Utilize advanced procedures such as central venous catheter placement and pulmonary artery catheter placement
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement clinical trials and patient care strategies
• Ensure effective communication with patients and families regarding care plans and treatment options
