LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Allegany County Health Department, Cumberland, MD GRADE 19 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Allegany County Health Department, Cumberland, MD Main Purpose of Job Under the direction of a physician or Nurse Coordinator, this position will provide comprehensive, full-performance direct nursing care to individuals receiving services in the Joseph S. Massie Unit residential substance use disorder treatment programs. This position will deliver evidence-based nursing care, monitor clients' physical and behavioral health needs, administer medications and treatments, collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team, and promote recovery through compassionate, person-centered care. This is an evening/night shift position. The hours are 4:00p.m. - 12:30a.m. and/or 12:00a.m. - 8:30a.m. Minimum Qualifications Education : Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses. Experience: None. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland. Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintain current certification. Employees in the classification are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with the Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09, Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs.
