Director of Information Technology

Reports To: Executive Vice President of Operations Position Summary The Director of Information Technology provides strategic and operational leadership for a global technology environment, ensuring technology supports business objectives, operational excellence, and future growth. The role oversees the company’s NetSuite ERP platform, enterprise applications, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital transformation initiatives, and technology integrations across all business locations. Working closely with executive leadership and functional teams, the Director develops and executes the company’s technology roadmap while ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable systems that support manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, finance, sales, customer support, and e-commerce operations. Key Responsibilities Technology Leadership Develop and execute the company’s technology strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives. Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational performance through technology. Lead enterprise technology projects and organizational change initiatives. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend business-focused solutions. NetSuite ERP & Enterprise Applications Own the administration, optimization, governance, and ongoing support of the company’s NetSuite ERP platform. Lead NetSuite implementations, enhancements, integrations, testing, user training, and functional support. Partner with Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Support, and Engineering to optimize business processes and maximize the value of NetSuite. Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, system reliability, and user adoption across all enterprise applications. Manage NetSuite implementation partners, consultants, and application vendors. IT Operations & Infrastructure Oversee global IT infrastructure, including networking, Microsoft 365, cloud services, end-user computing, telecommunications, and remote connectivity. Ensure high system availability, business continuity, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management of technology assets. Establish technology standards and best practices across all company locations. Cybersecurity & Risk Management Maintain the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and technology security posture. Oversee identity management, endpoint protection, backup and disaster recovery, security awareness, and third-party security partners. Ensure technology practices support company security policies and compliance requirements. Drive business process improvements through automation, system integration, and technology modernization. Develop executive dashboards and reporting capabilities that support informed decision-making. Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Vendor, Budget & Project Management Manage relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers, consultants, and implementation partners. Assist in developing annual operating and capital technology budgets. Deliver technology initiatives on time, within scope, and within budget. Mergers & Acquisitions Lead technology due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions. Develop technology integration plans that minimize business disruption and accelerate operational alignment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience. Demonstrated experience administering and supporting NetSuite ERP, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, warehouse processes, supply chain, finance, and business process optimization. Experience managing enterprise applications, technology infrastructure, vendors, and strategic technology initiatives. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project managerial skills. Preferred Experience NetSuite Administration, SuiteFoundation, or related NetSuite certification. Microsoft 365 ecosystem and cloud technologies. Cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Enterprise system integrations and e-commerce platforms. Mergers and acquisitions technology integration.
