Job Overview

Responsibilities include assisting with product completion by adjusting and assembling materials. This is a labor-intensive position that requires careful attention to detail.

A Day In The Life

• Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material, or other written instructions or procedures.

• Perform heavy manual labor required to manipulate and adjust materials.

• Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. Perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.

• Maintain inventory of product in workstations.

• Operate functional area equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and keep the work area neat and clean.

• Report any safety problems, hazards, accidents and near misses to management.

• Other duties as assigned.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Must wear safety equipment, i.e. safety glasses, work boots, protective gloves, and ear plugs where required.

• Able to lift up to 35 pounds – Maximum lifting policy is 35 pounds.

• Ability to work in a team environment or individually to conduct product completion.

• Ability to stand, sit, stoop or bend, reach above shoulders up to 25% of time.

• Ability to use basic hand tools, i.e. wrenches, gages, bolts.

• Perform repetitive tasks, ability to stand, sit, stoop, reach above the shoulders.

• Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together accurately.

• Have the stamina to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.

• Ability to use crane or electric pallet (Hubbell provides crane certification).
