Lab Assistant Support - Chemistry

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for its Phoenix laboratory to receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing. The role involves equipment maintenance, data entry, and ensuring compliance with safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and enter specimen and patient information into laboratory systems
• Monitor lab equipment functionality and perform routine maintenance tasks
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain supplies at test benches
• Maintain clean and safe work environment while following all standard operating procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• One or more year of production, assembly, manufacturing, or warehouse experience
• Ability to handle biological specimens safely and comfortably
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/sit for extended periods
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
