Manages/implements AMP safety programs and assists at other AMP locations as required. Ensures 100% safe, on time, properly configured, reliable aircraft to perform missions in accordance with the PWS. Provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing aircraft maintenance. Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating to aircraft maintenance operations, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and all support programs as required. Ensures sufficient manpower, technical data, tools and equipment are available for planned work and shift coverage. Assists in the investigation of aircraft/equipment/property accidents/mishaps to determine the cause of the accident and formulate recommendations to help reduce the risk of future occurrences. Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime. Applies Company policies and procedures pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees. Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs. Coordinate and perform AS9110 audits at all AMP locations with the Quality Manager. Submit required reports per Customer and Company requirements. Substitute for Quality Manager when he/she is out of office. Monitor the QC Database, Training Database, and Customer Maintenance Information System. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: High School Diploma mandatory; Associate degree or higher in related field preferred. 5 years' experience in the aviation industry, preferably military environment. Minimum of 3 years working on T-38 aircraft or other military aircraft as a mechanic is required. Experience in a union environment preferred. Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance and quality control procedures in an Air Force aviation environment. 3 years as Quality Control or Quality Assurance is preferred. Must possess competent computer skills. Must be able to work any shift required. Familiarization with AS9110 or ISO 9001 is preferred. Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude. Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS. Must possess a US driver's license. Working Conditions: Environment ranges from office to hangar and flight line and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
